After completing undergraduate studies at Texas Tech University, John spent nine years with Arthur Andersen & Co. A keen interest in the real estate business led John to Marathon U.S. Realties, the US real estate arm of Canadian Pacific Ltd. There he served in various capacities from Tax Director to CFO. Following the complete disposition of Marathon’s US assets, John made a second career shift by moving from the public company arena to privately owned development companies. This led to his joining Corinth Properties in the fall of 2005. John possesses a broad business, financial, and accounting skillset including financial accounting and reporting, tax reporting, treasury management, loan administration, risk management, human resources, and other financial related functions. John has extensive experience with the variety of complex real estate transactions including acquisitions, dispositions, tax free exchanges, co-ownerships, structured financings, work-outs including transaction analysis, structuring, due diligence, and closing. In his sometimes free time John loves to cook, play golf, and renovate older homes.
